Why Does Stainless Steel Material Affect the Lifespan of a Cleaning Machine?

Ultrasonic cleaning tanks are exposed to chemical solutions, high temperatures, and air-borne energy for long periods. If the wrong material is selected, it may easily cause:

Tank corrosion: Iron ions are released, contaminating the workpieces
Weld corrosion: Leakage or reduced sealing performance

Main Differences Between SUS304 and SUS316

1. Material Composition
SUS304: Cr18 / Ni8
SUS316: Cr17 / Ni12 / Mo2

2. Corrosion Resistance
SUS304: Suitable for general acid and alkaline environments.
SUS316: Better resistance to acids, chloride ions, and harsher chemical conditions.

3. Cost
SUS304: Lower cost.
SUS316: Higher cost.

4. Recommended Applications
SUS304: Pure water tanks and general acid/alkaline cleaning tanks.
SUS316: Strong acid cleaning tanks, high-temperature tanks, and demanding industrial cleaning processes.

YONG JI Enterprise’s Material and Welding Quality Control

When designing and manufacturing each ultrasonic cleaning machine, YONG JI follows the process standards below:

1. Weld Pickling and Passivation
All stainless steel welds are pickled and passivated after welding to remove oxide layers and iron contamination.
A uniform chromium oxide protective layer is formed on the weld surface to prevent future corrosion.

2. Chromium Plating on Ultrasonic Vibrating Plate
All ultrasonic vibrating plate surfaces are hard chromium plated to improve corrosion resistance and cavitation resistance.
This helps reduce micro-corrosion caused by ultrasonic cavitation and keeps energy transmission more stable.
For long-term high-power and high-frequency operation, this process can extend the service life of the vibrating plate by 2 to 3 times.

These treatments are one of the key reasons why YONG JI cleaning machines provide superior long-term stability and durability compared with general market products.

The material of stainless steel determines corrosion resistance, while surface treatment determines service life.

At YONG JI Enterprise, every welded ultrasonic vibrating plate is treated with pickling, passivation, and hard chromium plating. This allows the cleaning equipment to maintain stable output and a durable structure even under acidic chemical solutions and long-term ultrasonic operation.
